Last week the whole middle syndicate went to the swimming races. I liked it because we got to do overarm (Jay). I liked it because we got to do the mad-dash and that was fun (Lucy). We have put some photos on our blog - here they are below. The photos are of our relay team and we were two people in the relay team. Our favourite part of the swimming races was the relays because we got to race the other middle syndicate classes.

Global Warming Topic

In Room 6 we've been learning all about global warming and carbon footprints! What does all that mean? Well, you could check out these websites that we explored to find out some information:

Also - we are making our very own website with all of the information that we have learned so far. It's called a wiki, which is a site where you can share what you know, and anybody can read it to learn as well. We wanted to do this so that other people can learn about global warming too, and try to find out ways that they can REDUCE their carbon footprint. When it is finished we will tell you the website address.

Welcome to Room 6, 2012!

Hello to all of the students and families of Room 6, 2012!

This year there will be two teachers in Room 6: Matt Witty will be teaching Monday-Wednesday, and Kate Ammundsen will be teaching Thursday-Friday.

We are SO excited about the start of a new year, and hope you are all looking forward to a lot of new learning, experiences, and fun this year!

Please keep checking our classroom blog as it is something we plan to update as often as possible. The students will learn how to use it and will become responsible for keeping you updated on what is happening in the classroom.

We would love to see you in the classroom from time to time - all the best for a fantastic 2012!
